Welcome to Air Gisborne

Air Gisborne is a locally owned and operated Air Charter and Flight Training company which also provides scenic flights/aerial photography flights/survey flights and Air Ambulance.

The variety of work requires pilots to be highly experienced with the minimum starting requirements for light twin being 750 hours TT and Air Ambulance 1500 hours TT.

The Company employs 5 pilots, (4 Instructors). John Reid is the Chief Pilot and an "A" Cat Instructor with over 30,000 hours. The rest of the team consist of Karl Warin who is a "B" Cat instructor, Rhys Grimson & Daniel Ware who are both 'C' Cat instructors, and are all Commercial Pilots along with Andrew Reid.

Air Gisborne's fleet consists of 1 Kingair C90, 1 Piper Navajo Pa-31, Cessna 172, Two Grumman AA5A's.
The Grumman are utilised for most of the companies training.

Air Gisborne has been in operation for more than 40 years - current owners Andrew and Bronwyn Reid bought Air Gisborne on 1 April 2006 from John and Margaret Reid (Andrews parents).
